JAWS are an English indie pop band formed in. And hotly tipped as ones to watch. JAWS have published two EPs and two full length. Released: 21 April.

'Friend Like You' Released: 31 March 2013 Milkshake is the debut by British pop band. It features both of their singles and their B-sides up until when it was released, and a new single titled 'Friend Like You', released on 31 March 2013. The EP was released on 21 April 2013 through Rattlepop as a digital download. It was meant to be released on vinyl on the same date, but due to delay in the manufacturing of the vinyl made it be pushed to be released on 6 May.

Gave the EP a fairly positive review saying that Jaws were 'making laziness look and sound good since April 2013,' as well as saying 'no-one has ever sounded so much like the internal monologue of a sunbathing cat.' Track listing A side.

Hailing from the current ‘buzz town’ Birmingham, despite their tender years JAWS have put together a promising EP. This debut EP entitled ‘Milkshake’ is filled with upbeat guitar-based tracks occasionally featuring a bit of synthesiser. Opening track ‘Breeze’ is very dancey with a lot of variations in the drums.

Jaws Milkshake

One of JAWS’ first tracks ‘Toucan Surf’ still remains my favourite to this day, the whole track sounds dreamy yet the lyrics are highly realistic and relatable ‘There’s not a lot for me to do when I’m sitting on my own’. The chorus is also stuck in my head ‘Three words: everything is okay’. The band’s new single ‘Friend Like You’ is very radio-friendly, featuring a simplistic but catchy recurring guitar riff. The EP ends with a ‘bolder’ track ‘Surround You’, which has the most electronic sound compared to the rest of the track-list. After having finished ‘Surround You’, I was left wanting more from JAWS, it is quite a cliffhanger with its fade out ending. It is worth noting how the entire EP is compiled of JAWS’ previously released singles (both the A- and the B-sides), and so makes it very accessible. Rating: (P.S.
