MCEdit, an extremely powerful Minecraft world editor originally created by and currently maintained. Download Links. (Recommended).

I've been messing around with exploring the farlands lately, and I was trying to find the older version of MCEdit that would support Beta.

Link Flair Filters. Thank you for continuing to update this fork. Quick question. I took a break during the holidays and just resumed. I build my maps with original designs and to save time, save my designs as schematics to use in current and future builds.

With the previous update, I used the installer instead of unpacking manually. Is it possible that the installer replaced my schematics folder with a clean one? My previously saved schematics are all gone. (Unfortunately, my backup wasn't completely up to date, but not a big deal since I can always remake those schematics from my builds.) I ask mostly for future awareness.

If the.exe installer didn't overwrite my schematics folder then I have.no idea what happened to it between the beginning of December and a couple of weeks ago. But I'd like to confirm that it was reinstalling MCEdit as the culprit. Again, thank you for your continued work on Unified! Edit: autocorrect.

MCEdit 1.7.5 is a world edit for Minecraft. It’s compatible with Anvil, which means players can easily edit or change Minecraft worlds in any version of the game. As far as map editors go, MCEdit is both powerful and straightforward.

Players can easily zoom in and out of any area of the map, and it’s easy to spawn any creatures you want. The MCEDit interface is enriched with a number of unique graphics, and tools like the topsoil brush are straightforward. Players can use MCEdit to fly around their level in glorious 3D detail. This makes it easy to touch up certain sections of the map or to see what needs improvement. After creating and editing maps within MCEdit, players can easily add them into the Minecraft /saves folder. MCEdit currently works with all versions of Minecraft. Whether you’re using the classic format of Minecraft maps or the upgraded Anvil format, MCEdit should work without a problem.

However, MCEdit is no longer being updated by its creator, codewarrior. The tool hasn’t been updated in a few months, so some compatibility issues might exist for the latest versions of Minecraft.
