The Citrix ICA Client (Citrix Receiver) allows access to remote Windows sessions that run on a Citrix server. These instructions are for current/recent Ubuntu/ICA versions. For historical reference, instructions for older Ubuntu/ICA versions are. If you are considering deployment of the Receiver in your workplace (as opposed to installation on just your machine), have a look at in the. Even the Citrix Receiver for 64-bit systems has a lot of dependencies on packages from the i386 architecture.
If you are using 64-bit Ubuntu and have not already configured i386 multiarch, you must configure it by running: sudo dpkg -add-architecture i386 sudo apt-get update N.B. The download link currently directs you to receiver 13.2 rather than 13.1 and the 64-bit deb no longer has i386 architecture dependencies. Go to. Near the bottom of the page, select either 'For 64-bit Systems' or 'For 32-bit Systems' as appropriate, and goto the 'Receiver for Linux' package. Look for 'File Type:.deb' under the Download buttons. Click this.deb file, and have it open in Ubuntu Software Center for installation (so you can skip step 4), Or download the.deb file and install it as described in step 4.
Optionally download the 'USB Support Package'. This package provides support for passing USB devices from your local Ubuntu machine into the remote Windows session (if your Citrix server is configured to allow that). In case your Ubuntu Software Center didn't install the Citrix receiver, so you had to download it, now install it as follows: sudo dpkg -i /Downloads/icaclient.deb ctxusb.deb sudo apt-get -f install # Install dependencies and finish configuring the package(s) By default, Citrix Receiver only trusts a few root CA certificates, which causes connections to many Citrix servers to fail with an SSL error.
The 'ca-certificates' package (already installed on most Ubuntu systems) provides additional CA certificates in /usr/share/ca-certificates/mozilla/ that can be conveniently added to Citrix Receiver to avoid these errors: sudo ln -s /usr/share/ca-certificates/mozilla/. /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts/ sudo crehash /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts/ Run: /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/util/configmgr & To map drives (to allow access to files on your local Ubuntu machine via a share drive in the remote Windows session), see the 'File Access' tab. Run: sudo rm -f /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.npica.so /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/npwrapper.npica.so sudo rm -f /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npica.so sudo ln -s /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/npica.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npica.so sudo ln -s /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/npica.so /usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins/npica.so Starting with Citrix Receiver 13.1, the 64-bit version of Citrix Receiver switched from a 32-bit plugin (using nspluginwrapper to allow it to run within a 64-bit browser) to a native 64-bit plugin. However, the install script still configures the plugin to run within nspluginwrapper, which doesn't work with a 64-bit plugin. The above will reconfigure the plugin to run without nspluginwrapper.
In Firefox, go to Tools - Add-ons - Plugins, and make sure the 'Citrix Receiver for Linux' plugin is set to 'Always Activate'. Starting in Firefox 32, plugins are set to 'Ask to Activate' by default, but for some reason the activation prompt is never displayed for the Citrix Receiver plugin, so the plugin will not work unless it is set to 'Always Activate'.
To use Citrix Receiver in Chrome and/or Chromium, run: xdg-mime default wfica.desktop application/x-ica. If you are running KDE 4.10 or later: In System Settings, make sure GTK is set to a theme other than Oxygen.
The Oxygen theme seems to cause the Citrix Receiver to constantly crash when trying to launch fullscreen applications (such as Terminal Servers or VDI). Some people have experienced problems with Citrix Receiver 13.0 showing only random fragments of windows. It is not clear if this is a bug in the graphics library that Citrix has adopted with this version and/or its interaction with certain Citrix server configurations.
If you experience this, you are likely to have better success with version 12.1, see. The behavior of Citrix Receiver 13.1 for the affected people has not yet been determined. Sometimes the Citrix client will not go full-screen with Unity.
The Unity launcher and status bar will still be visible, and the Citrix mouse will be in a slightly different position than the client mouse. This can be fixed enabling legacy fullscreen in compizconfig-settings-manager. It is in 'advanced search' then 'Plugin: workarounds', then second on the list.
You can exit from the FULL SCREEN mode (in Unity) by pressing Ctrl+F2 followed by Ctrl+Super+ArrowDown. You can prevent Citrix from starting FULL SCREEN by opening a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T), gedit /.ICAClient/AllRegions.ini and setting DesiredHRES=1366 and DesiredVRES=768 for example. You can solve keyboard layout problems looking for your keyboard layout in and updating KeyboardLayout value in /.ICAClient/wfclient.ini`. There is a bug in Citrix Receiver 13.1.0.285639, that the receiver can not be started from unity. The problem is a missing hash in a parameter, as a workaround it can be fixed by executing the follwing command. The problem and and solution are also described here: sudo perl -pi -e 's/ -ica/ -ica/g' /usr/share/applications/selfservice.desktop. Iso 9001 certified logo vector.

This document describes how to deploy Acrobat products on a Citrix server for streaming to Windows machines. It provides details about product setup on the Citrix XenApp Server and some details about the older Citrix Presentation Server.
Since there are many ways to configure Acrobat products and Citrix servers, these instructions are intended as basic examples. Administrators may need to tailor these instructions to meet the requirements of their own environment. Application virtualization Session virtualization where installed applications are streamed to clients is supported.
Application virtualization where a Streamed Profile package is delivered either to the XenApp Server or the end users computer is not. While Citrix XenApp supports both session virtualization and application virtualization, only the former where the application is hosted on a server is well tested. Note that some forum users have figured out on their own how to create a package and stream it to clients. Note Note: While testing for this release occurred with 7.9, intermediate Citrix versions are supported.

This is a very convenient way for administrators of a network domain to deploy and install the GoToMeeting desktop app to thousands of users or computers throughout the network. To deploy GoToMeeting to multiple computers, domain administrators can create a group policy object (GPO) and link it to the network using the domain controller (Windows Server). Organizers may have multiple versions of GoToMeeting installed on their computer, but the active version is set by the Citrix server (and may vary by account). To run sessions using the version installed by the MSI, organizers' accounts must have the same version set on the server.
Note: Installing via MSI is an advanced feature that requires administrator-level permissions on the target computer(s). Once GoToMeeting has been installed by a domain administrator, by default the feature will be used to get updated versions as they are released and remove older ones (i.e., it is not necessary to install subsequent version updates via MSI). Each organizer can change this setting if desired, unless the domain controller applies a GPO preventing it from being modified.
Using SCCM or another tool to install the MSI on the SYSTEM Level does not allow for the setting flags to be modified. Downloading the desktop app is available on paid plans only.
Download the single-build MSI The detailed will also be included in the.ZIP file. GoToMeeting desktop app Windows 7 or later (latest build!) Download the multi-build MSI If you frequently join sessions that are run using a build other than the one that you use, you may want to pre-install a few different versions of the desktop app to make sure you are able to join sessions quickly and don't experience a delay while the new build is installed. Note: Approximately 90% of sessions are run with the most current build, so most attendees won't need to use the older builds at all (and therefore do not need to install the multi-build MSI file. To install the GoToMeeting multi-build MSI, which includes the following builds:. Version 8.4.0, build 6871.

Version 8.1.0, build 6519. Version 8.0.0, build 6441. Version 7.31.0 build 6291.
Version 7.24.0 build 5636. Version 7.20.0 build 5174.
Version 7.17.0 build 4911. Version 7.14.0 build 4670.
Version 7.9.0, build 4376. Version 7.7.1, build 4099. Version 7.2.3, build 3019 Download the installer for Xen Environments You can use the Install Manager & Client Setup Wizards to install GoToMeeting on a Xen environment. Detailed instructions will be included in the installation package. Note: Audio and recording features are supported with GoToMeeting installed in XenDesktop environments, but they are not supported in XenApp environments. (latest build!). 4.
Do I need the MSI to install GoToMeeting? No – in most cases, it is not at all necessary for you to install via MSI. The GoToMeeting desktop app does not require administrative rights in order to be installed, so you should be able to easily it on your own computer.
We simply provide the MSI file as a convenient way for IT Admins to distribute GoToMeeting to the computers in a network domain. In addition, organizers who experience difficulties installing via the regular EXE file may have better success using the MSI.
Do I need the MSI to update my software? No – it takes care of itself! Once you install the GoToMeeting desktop app on a computer, it will automatically update itself (without needing to re-install with MSI). By default, the desktop app is set to perform silent updates while the user is not in a session. If you do not want proactive updates to be used or older versions to be removed, you can disable automatic updates. See to learn more!.
